See Horse Racing at Colonial Downs!

Sunday, July 15, 2012 - Spend a day at the races.

Departing from the Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. for Colonial Downs. A sit down dinner will be served in the Jockey Room! You will have your choice of Char grilled London Broil with a Steakhouse Mushroom Reduction or Baked Chicken Breast stuffed with Spanish & Mushrooms served with a House Salad, Grilled Shrimp and Pineapple Kabob, Mashed Potatoes or Jasmine Rice, Seasonal Vegetable and fresh Strawberry Shortcake. Water and Iced Tea will be served in unlimited quantities.

We will leave after the last race, which should get us back to the Center around 6 p.m. Sign up now as we can only accommodate 30 people this time!

Take a day trip to Fredricksburg, Virginia and see the popular Phantom musical at Riverside Theatre! based on Gaston Leroux's novel The Phantom of the Opera, this version is hailed by critics as eminently equal to its more famous Andrew Lloyd Webber counterpart! We will depart from the Senior Center at 9 a.m. and return at approximately 6 p.m.

Cost is $90 for members and

$95.50 for non-members.

New River Train Trip!

The Historic Triangle Senior Center will be sponsoring a fall foliage trip to the New River Valley in West Virginia. Travel 300 miles on an Amtrak train from Huntington, WV to Hinton, WV and travel along the New River Valley Gorge. A deposit of $100 is needed to reserve your spot.
